Success Feels Always Just Out of Reach

Why Strategy Alone Keeps Hitting the Same Ceiling

The Ceiling You Can't Quite See

The effort is real.

You're not coasting, not waiting for things to happen, not missing the obvious moves.

You've built something, or you're building it - and by most measures it's working.

But there's a level you keep approaching and not quite reaching.

A plateau that holds regardless of how much you put in.

More hours, better systems, sharper strategy - and the needle moves, but not the way it should given what you're putting into it.

The quietly unsettling part is that you can see people around you - not more talented, not working harder, sometimes visibly less prepared - moving through levels that feel stuck for you.

Which suggests the ceiling isn't external.

It's not the market, not the timing, not the plan.

Something is determining how far you go that isn't visible in the work itself.

And conscious effort, however sustained, hasn't been able to find it.

Why Strategy Alone Hits a Wall

Success culture is almost entirely focused on the conscious level - the 5% of mental activity that plans, executes, learns, and adapts.

And that 5% is genuinely important.

Good strategy, clear goals, consistent action - these things matter and they produce results.

The problem is that the other 95%, the subconscious, has its own position on how successful you get to be.

And it has far more influence over the outcome than any strategy does.

The subconscious absorbed a picture of success early - what it looks like, who gets it, how much of it is appropriate for someone like you.

That picture came from what you witnessed growing up, what was modeled, what was said about people who had a lot versus people who didn't.

It may have absorbed that success is precarious, that visibility is dangerous, that surpassing a certain point means losing something else.

None of these were conscious decisions.

All of them became programs.

When you push toward a level that exceeds what the subconscious picture allows, it generates friction.

Not dramatically - just enough to slow things down, introduce doubt at the wrong moment, pull the focus slightly off.

The ceiling isn't a lack of skill or effort.

It's the subconscious maintaining the version of success it believes is right for you.

Until that picture updates, the ceiling holds - regardless of what's happening on the surface.

Working at the Level the Ceiling Comes From

I came across Inner Influencing at a point when I recognized that the limits I kept running into weren't about what I was doing - they were about what I was running underneath what I was doing.

I'd tried enough approaches to personal growth to know the difference between something that helped at the surface and something that changed the ground level.

Inner Influencing changed the ground level.

Precise enough that I went on to train as a Master Practitioner, and it's now at the foundation of everything I do with clients.

Inner Influencing is an established methodology built to reach the subconscious directly - not to motivate it or convince it, but to deliver a clear instruction it can receive and act on without the resistance that typically keeps old pictures in place.

Where strategy works on the 5%, Inner Influencing works on the 95%.

The subconscious picture of what success looks like for you, how much you're allowed to have, what happens when you exceed a certain level - these are programs.

And programs can be updated with the right instruction.

The mechanism uses a trigger phrase - "Purple Cow" - embedded in a specific statement structure.

The phrase is unusual deliberately.

It signals to the subconscious that what's incoming isn't ordinary thought to be filtered and filed, but a direct instruction deserving a different quality of attention.

One statement.

Said once.

And the picture the subconscious has been using as a ceiling gets a new version.

Try It for Yourself

Read each statement below slowly - out loud if you're able to. Say it once, then stop. Let a moment of quiet follow before moving to the next.

Notice whatever arises - a shift in the chest, a thought that moves differently, something that feels even faintly like a ceiling lifting.

Statement 1 - The Surface Pattern

"Subconscious, when I say Purple Cow, you will get rid of all the ways I block, limit, or hold myself back from the success I'm capable of and keep me free from that from now on, and do this in a way that is natural, easy, instant and graceful. Purple Cow."

Say it once. Then pause and notice.

Statement 2 - The Hidden Layer

"Subconscious, when I say Purple Cow, you will get rid of any belief that there is a limit to how successful I'm allowed to be, that success is unsafe, or that reaching a certain level means losing something I need to keep, and keep me free from that from now on, and do this in a way that is natural, easy, instant and graceful. Purple Cow."

Say it once. Take a breath. Let it settle.

Statement 3 - Opening the Positive

"Subconscious, when I say Purple Cow, you will make it easy for me to move toward success naturally and without resistance - as someone for whom achieving at a high level is simply what happens, not something I have to fight for, and keep me free from that from now on, and do this in a way that is natural, easy, instant and graceful. Purple Cow."

Say it once. Then simply rest for a moment.

What Did You Notice?

Whatever shifted - even something faint, even just a moment where the usual internal weight around success wasn't quite as present - that was your subconscious receiving a new instruction at the level where the ceiling is actually set.

It doesn't always announce itself.

Sometimes it shows up later, in a decision that doesn't pull back the way it usually would, in a week where things move more easily than expected.

What you just experienced is the first level of Inner Influencing.

There are deeper levels that work through the specific beliefs, the early imprints, the subconscious picture of what success looks like for someone like you.

The ceiling was never in the strategy.

It was in the picture the subconscious has been maintaining underneath it.

That's what shifts here - not the plan, not the effort, but the ground those things are standing on.

You've given it three new instructions to work from.

That's where it starts.

The Free Discovery Kit Takes You Further

What you just did was give your subconscious three new instructions at the level where the ceiling is actually set. The Inner Influencing Discovery Kit goes deeper — it explains the science behind what just happened, gives you more tools to work with, and opens the door to clearing the early imprints and subconscious beliefs about how successful someone like you is allowed to be.

It's free. And if that invisible ceiling felt even faintly less solid just now — this is where it lifts.
